Hey 2150 members,  If you're looking for a community service volunteer opportunity, on September 28th the Sussex Firefighters are refreshing the "Born Learning Trail" that runs through the community. Come on out and grab a paintbrush and lend a hand.

Local 2150 member and activist Decorah Gordon is running for Wisconsin State Assembly in the 12th District. Decorah has been a driving force for community engagement in our Local and is looking to expand the impact that she could have and be a voice for workers’ rights in the WI Assembly. If you live in her District, make sure to vote for her in the upcoming primary on August 13th.

The August 2024 Constitutional Amendments are Dangerous for Wisconsin Communities and Bad for Wisconsin Business The State Legislature has placed two questions on the August 2024 ballot. Together, these amendments would eliminate the Governor’s ability to allocate and distribute federal funds sent to Wisconsin by giving the legislature sole power to approve how these funds are used.

The Milwaukee Area Labor Council will be holding a couple community service events in June and July.  If you are able to help out on June 22nd for the Community Cookout or July 20th to make sandwiches, come on out and lend a helping hand.
